Before getting too far into this post I would like to give a disclaimer: I am not some wacko cat lady!! I don't want you thinking that I dress my cat up on Sunday afternoons and make her have tea with me or anything crazy like that. I love my kitty, but I'm not that far over the edge...
Cleo turns 2 on June 30, and I thought it would be fun to have a little party for her. It really was more just an excuse to have some friends over for a bbq. But I love having themed parties, so I decided to celebrate her birthday.
The colors I picked for the party were green and brown. I played off the fact that her fur is brown and her eyes are green. I had fun making yarn balls that I hung over the table. They're really fun to make; all you do is soak yarn in glue mixed with water, and wrap it around a balloon. Once the yarn is dry (takes a few days) pop the balloon and voila!!
I also made a flower arrangement out of dollar store flowers and a dead choke cherry bush from my back yard.
Then when we were at Costco picking up some supplies, I found these beautiful green and white flowers.
Since the colors were green and brown, I decided that all the food had to be green and brown, too. I also made little name tags for the food so everyone knew what they were eating.
At the end of the night Cleo even got a birthday kiss from a special friend...
